How to Cancel Disney+ in 2026

Disney+ is the one service in this series with its own pause option. Here's how to cancel on the web, iPhone, Android, Roku, and through a bundle, how Disney+'s pause works, and when to use which.

Disney+ lets you cancel at any time, effective at the end of your current subscription term. Two things set it apart from the other big streamers. Disney+ gives its cancellation steps for a web browser rather than the app, and if Disney+ bills you monthly, you may be able to pause instead of cancelling. Cancelling also doesn't delete your Disney+ account or the MyDisney login you use for other Disney services.

How to Cancel Disney+ on the Web

Steps verified September 2026 against the Disney+ Help Center's cancellation article (last updated March 24, 2026).

These steps are for subscriptions billed directly by Disney+. Use a computer or your phone's web browser.

  1. Log in at DisneyPlus.com.
  2. Select your Profile.
  3. Select Account.
  4. Select your Disney+ subscription under Subscription.
  5. Select Cancel Subscription.

You keep access until the end of your current term. Disney+ says the timing varies depending on your plan and whether you're billed monthly, annually, or within a promotional period. If you get stuck, Disney+ says to contact its support, which it lists as available 24 hours a day.

Changed Your Mind Before the Term Ends?

Log in at DisneyPlus.com, select your profile, select Account, select Restart Subscription, and select Agree. That only works before your term ends. After that, Disney+ says the subscription is fully cancelled and you'll need to subscribe again.

How to Cancel Disney+ on iPhone or iPad

If you subscribed in the Disney+ app and Apple bills you, Disney+ says to go to your billing partner. Apple's steps: open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, tap Disney+, and tap Cancel Subscription. If there's no Cancel button, or you see an expiration message in red, it's already cancelled.

How to Cancel Disney+ on Android

If Google Play bills you, open Subscriptions in the Google Play app, select Disney+, tap Cancel subscription, and follow the instructions. Google says uninstalling the app doesn't cancel, and that you keep using the subscription for the time you've already paid.

How to Cancel Disney+ Through Roku, a Bundle, or Your Provider

Roku: Call Disney+, Not Roku

This one surprises people. Roku's help page says that to manage or cancel a Disney+ subscription, even if Roku bills you, you contact Disney+ directly at 888-905-7888. Roku processes the charge, but Disney+ manages the subscription. If Disney+ asks for your CIB (Customer Identifier for Billing), Roku says it's on your Roku invoice.

The Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Bundle

If you had Hulu, ESPN, or HBO Max on its own before switching to a bundle, you may now have two subscriptions. Disney+ says cancelling the original leaves the bundle running, and cancelling the bundle leaves the original running at its then-current price. To stop paying for both, you cancel both. If you signed up for the bundle through Hulu, manage it through Hulu. If you signed up for the Disney+, Hulu, HBO Max bundle through HBO Max, manage it there; our guide to cancelling HBO Max has those steps.

Phone and Internet Providers

If Disney+ is billed by a phone, internet, or TV provider, Disney+ says the steps vary and to use that partner's help center or contact them. When it's a perk bundled into a plan you'd keep anyway, cancelling may not lower your bill, a trade-off we cover in streaming bundles vs. rotating.

Disney+ Has Its Own Pause Option

Verified September 2026 against the Disney+ Help Center.

If Disney+ bills you monthly, you can pause from a computer or mobile browser: log in to your Disney+ account, select your Profile, then Account, then your Disney+ subscription, then Pause Subscription. Choose how long to pause and select Pause Subscription again. Disney+ says certain plans may not be eligible, and your account has to be active with payments up to date.

How it works, per Disney+:

Should You Pause or Cancel Disney+?

Pause when you know roughly when you'll be back and the break fits one of the lengths Disney+ offers. Remember that billing starts again on its own when the pause ends, whether or not there's anything you want to watch. Cancel when you don't know when you'll be back, when you're billed annually, or when a partner bills you, since the pause is only for monthly subscriptions billed by Disney+.

What Happens After You Cancel Disney+

You keep access until the end of your current term, and your Disney+ and MyDisney accounts stay in place. You can delete your Disney+ account separately after cancelling if you want to. Disney+'s cancellation article doesn't say how long it keeps profiles or watch history after a cancellation, so we won't guess.

When to Cancel Disney+, and When to Come Back

The rule is the same as for any service: cancel right after you finish what you're watching, and restart when the next thing you want arrives. Since access runs to the end of your term, cancelling the day you finish doesn't cost you anything you've paid for.

Disney+ is $12.49 a month with ads and $21.49 for Premium, per our 2026 streaming price table. For some households it's the exception to rotating at all. If the kids watch it every week, it's an anchor you keep all year, and the savings come from the other services instead. Our savings calculator shows how much that leaves on the table.

Where Intermission Comes In

Intermission plans the timing for you. From your watchlist and budget, it builds a 12-month plan of when to keep Disney+, when to pause it, and when to restart it, with a one-tap link to the Disney+ account page and a pause-by date for each move. Whether you use Disney+'s own pause or cancel is your call. The free version shows your next two months of moves; Intermission+ maps all 12. If you mark Disney+ as an anchor, it stays on every month.

You do the cancelling yourself. Intermission never asks for your Disney+ password and never touches your account. When you go to pause, the free Cancel-Day Playbook shows what Disney+ will likely offer to keep you and whether it's worth taking.

Plan Your Next Disney+ Pause

Tell Intermission what you want to watch and what you want to spend. It shows you the months Disney+ is worth paying for, and the months it isn't.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I Cancel Disney+ in the App?

Disney+ gives its cancellation steps for a computer or mobile browser: log in at DisneyPlus.com, select your profile, then Account, then your Disney+ subscription, then Cancel Subscription. If a third party bills you, you cancel with them instead.

Can I Pause Disney+ Instead of Cancelling?

Often, yes. Disney+ lets you pause a monthly subscription it bills directly, though some plans aren't eligible. The pause starts on the first day of your next billing period, and you aren't charged or able to stream until it ends.

Does Pausing Disney+ Pause My Hulu Too?

If you have a bundle, yes. Disney+ says pausing Disney+ also pauses the other streaming services in your bundle plan, and any Extra Member or add-on is paused as well.

Does Cancelling Disney+ Delete My Account?

No. Disney+ says cancelling doesn't delete your Disney+ account or the MyDisney account you use across Disney services. Deleting your account is a separate step.
