Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 23, 2026

Intermission ("we," "us") is operated by Intermission Technologies LLC (a Georgia LLC). This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the service, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what we need to build your rotation plan and run your account, we never ask for or store your streaming passwords, and we never sell your personal information or share it for advertising.

What We Collect

Account information. Your email address, and a securely hashed password, when you create an account. We never store your password in readable form.

Plan inputs. The services you use and their tiers, prices, and billing periods; your budget, anchors, tastes, categories, and preferences; your watchlist (titles and the services you want them on); and the rotation actions you complete (pauses and starts, with the price at the time). We use these to build and improve your personalized plan and to track the savings you've realized. You enter these yourself.

Usage and product analytics. We record in-app events (such as which screens you use and how you move through the cancel-assist flow) to understand and improve the product. These analytics events are linked to your account — they are not anonymous — and they live in our own database; we do not use a third-party analytics or tracking service.

Notifications. If you turn on push notifications, we store the notification subscription your browser issues (an endpoint address and encryption keys) so we can send you reminders, along with your notification preferences and a log of what we've sent.

Payment information. If you subscribe to Intermission Plus, our payment processor Stripe handles your payment. We receive and store billing metadata — a Stripe customer ID, your plan tier, and subscription status. Your card number and security code are entered on Stripe's own checkout and never pass through or get stored on our systems.

Security and sign-in data. When you sign in, our authentication provider (Supabase) records standard security information such as your IP address, device, and browser, to protect your account.

Support and requests. If you send feedback or request a service, we receive the message you write and your email so we can respond and prioritize. If you join our waitlist, we collect the email you provide and where you signed up from.

How We Use Your Information

To set up and secure your account; to build, update, and improve your personalized rotation plan; to send the reminders and notifications you ask for; to process your Intermission Plus subscription; to respond to your feedback and support requests; and to understand and improve how the product works.

Who We Share It With

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We use a small set of service providers who process data only to help us run Intermission, under their own privacy and security commitments:

When you choose to start a streaming service through one of our links, you may follow an affiliate link to that provider's own site, which is governed by that provider's privacy practices. We may earn a commission on some links (see our Affiliate Disclosure), but commissions never influence our recommendations.

What We Never Do

We never ask for or store your streaming-service passwords, and we never log in to or scrape your streaming accounts. We never sell your personal information, and we never share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not run third-party ad or tracking technology in the app.

Do Not Track

Because we do not run third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking technology, and we do not track your activity across other websites, we do not respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. Third parties do not collect personally identifiable information about your activity across different websites through our service.

How It's Stored

Your data is stored with our infrastructure provider, Supabase, and we use commercially reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls that separate one account's data from another's. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.

How Long We Keep It

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete the personal data associated with it. One exception: if you joined our waitlist, that email is stored separately from your account, so deleting your account does not automatically remove a waitlist entry — email us at support@joinintermission.com and we'll remove it. We may keep limited records longer where needed for security or to meet a legal obligation.

Your Choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time by emailing support@joinintermission.com; we may need to verify your request, and we aim to respond within 45 days (if we need more time, we'll let you know and may extend once as allowed by law). You can delete your account from the app, which removes your associated data as described above. You can turn push notifications on or off at any time in your browser or device settings, and you can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time.

Children

Intermission is intended only for adults. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 (and specifically not from children under 13). If you believe someone under 18 has given us their information, email support@joinintermission.com and we will delete it.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll post the update here, change the effective date above, and — where the change is significant and affects registered users — let you know by email. Prior versions are available on request.
