Affiliate Disclosure

We believe in being upfront about how Intermission makes money, because trust is the whole point of this product.
How we earn
When you choose to start a streaming service through a link in Intermission, the provider or an affiliate network may pay us a commission. There's no extra cost to you. We may also include a small number of clearly labeled sponsored deals — but they live on their own Deals tab, sit there passively for you to browse, and are never pushed into your plan or your recommendations.
Our promise: commissions never influence what we recommend. Your rotation plan is built only from the shows on your watchlist and the budget you set. Our recommendation engine does not see, and is not affected by, which services pay us — full stop.
Honest savings
Our savings scoreboard only credits savings for actions you've actually completed — we don't count a savings event until you've made the switch. And because we never watch your accounts, some figures are estimates: if you pause or add a service outside the app, we can't know until you tell us, so we'll nudge you occasionally to confirm — and anything unconfirmed stays an estimate rather than a counted savings. Privacy first, even when it makes our numbers more conservative.
Why it works this way
- The recommendation engine is separated from any commission data by design.
- Sponsored placements, if shown, are always labeled as such and kept separate from your plan.
- We'd rather earn less and keep your trust than nudge you toward a service that isn't right for you.
